Hello to all our readers, brides, bridal party members, business owners, family and friends.
Yes, that's right, we're OPEN for business. We and many other small independent businesses are still ticking away, so please do drop by and visit.
We might be biased, but we think we're pretty cool!
It's quite a strange concept to write a blog to say, hey we're open! But with current events, I feel it’s important to reach out to our brides and potential new customers, to let you all know that everything is still in operational mode with us. We’re having new deliveries (which haven’t been affected) and we’re still placing new dress orders with designers for example, so you can still come by and find 'The One' for your big day.
The team and I are being asked many questions in regards to the virus, so this is taking up a lot of our time which isn’t usually spent dealing with matters as such. Please do have a wee bit of patience and bare with us.
But (yes there is a but), we are taking COVID-19 very seriously. You might be wondering how we’re doing that?! We have really upped our cleaning. When we open and close down the shop, we're having an extensive clean, this includes all door handles, surfaces that have been touched etc. All members of staff are regularly washing their hands. When customers enter our shop, we're asking politely if you guys can use the hand sanitizer that is on the side. We’re asking that if you or if you have been around someone who has symptoms (even minor symptoms), to adhere to NHS guidelines and self-isolate for 7 days to help not spread any viruses. As staff, we're asking one another each night if any of our close family and friends have been affected, so we're constantly monitoring our exposure to the virus and being sensible with our approach.
In times when there is such uncertainty, we have to come together and support one another, may it be dropping off that extra toilet roll you really didn't need to buy last week at a neighbours house who has run out and has 4 kids. May it be dropping off a week's worth of premade meals for an elderly relative. Whatever action you take, please act positively, sensibly, kindly and support one another. We will get through this together.
Much love,
Claire Amelia x
